Purpose

Highview's mission is to provide all their residents with a safe, caring and supportive environment that is comfortable and enables residents to maintain their independence as much as possible. We are a culturally safe facility and understands differences and ensure these are respected and catered for to be best of our ability.

Description

Are you enthusiastic to make a difference in the lives of others? If you have a positive attitude, enjoy working as part of a dynamic team, and want to share what you are passionate about with our residents, then please contact them!

They are open to having a conversation about what this position will look like and it will be different for each volunteer. Things that they are thinking about but not limited to are:

• reading to residents

• going on van rides with our diversional therapist and residents

• talking

• creating a newsletter

• gardening

• baking

• painting, art

• inside exercise appropriate to the elderly

• generally having fun!

The role in a nut shell is to create special times for our residents. Getting to know this beautiful bunch of people is so rewarding.
