Description

Breast Cancer Foundation NZ's mission is to prevent New Zealanders from developing and dying of breast cancer and to support patients. They do this by raising awareness for early detection, funding medical research, training, and equipment, supporting patients with their helpline, counselling, and rehabilitation, and advocating to the government for world-class treatments and care.

Taking place in February and March, the NZ House & Garden Tours help raise funds for this extensive work. Visitors can step inside the pages of their favourite magazine for a day of indulgence, visiting exquisite homes and gardens while supporting a great cause!

They need wonderful volunteers for the Dunedin event in 2025! As a volunteer, you will:

  • be stationed either at the tour hub or at one of the houses

  • checking wristbands for visitors

  • assisting with parking

  • ensuring that the tour-goers are being respectful within the home

We hope volunteers will enjoy:

  • the buzz from being involved in this fabulous and unique event

  • being part of a great team supporting a great cause

  • making a contribution to the fundraising effort

To say thanks for volunteering:

  • you'll be able to spend your shift at one of the incredible locations on the tour

  • be given a 10% discount on your tour ticket (if purchased before December 31)

  • a goodie bag from the tour sponsors.

  • Reliable and punctual

  • Able to stand for the duration of a half-day (4hr) or full-day shift (8 hrs)

  • Dress code is smart casual - appropriate for hosting

  • BYO food/snacks/drinks to have during your breaks

Time commitment

Volunteers can select a morning, afternoon or full-day shift on either Friday 14th or Saturday 15th February.
