Purpose

To enable elderly residents (hospital level) to take part in a greater range of meaningful activities; to enable social contact for individuals without family and/or friends; to improve residents' quality and enjoyment of life through the use of music and personal contact.Companionship for people at the end of life and to expose residents to new experiences and enable learning new skills.

Description

Summerset Dunedin are looking for speakers to talk to residents on any interesting subject - so if you’re looking for practice public speaking or are just super passionate about something and would love to talk about it this one is for you! We have a wide range of residents from university lecturers, doctors and blue collar workers. Residents have a range of cognitive abilities and interests in many areas.

Requirements

Passion for the topic and good speaking skills

Time Commitment

Afternoon time around 2pm
