Organisation
Otago University Student Association
Purpose
The Otago University Students' Association - OUSA is run by their members for their members. Each year 10 students are elected to form the OUSA Executive. Together with their paid staff, they provide members with representation, welfare, advocacy, recreation, fun events and media.
Description
Are You OK? is a group of dedicated student volunteers committed to promoting the safety and well-being—both physical and mental—of students at OUSA events such as Orientation, Hyde Street Party, and music gigs throughout the year.
They aim to ensure every student has an amazing time, free from any negative experiences. The team offers non-judgmental, approachable, and friendly support when it’s needed most. Whether it’s helping someone who’s had too much to drink, providing basic first aid, offering a quiet space to chill, or organizing a safe ride home, their volunteers ensure everyone has a safe, enjoyable experience.
