Purpose
Presbyterian Support Otago works for a fair, just and caring community. Motivated by their Christian heritage, and in partnership with others, PSO works across the generations for positive change, strong families and healthy communities. In fulfilling their mission, they endeavour to act with Faith, Compassion, Respect, Integrity, Courage and Independence.
Description
Come and spend time with our older folk and brighten their day (and yours!) with entertainments and social activities and be a part of their community!
Piano Player - They need someone who is independent and motivated to play the piano in the lounge area of the two hospital units and one secure unit (approximately 1/2 hour per unit) in Dunedin. Choice of playing in one unit for the first week, another the following week and another on the third week or play in one unit only. Music to suit aged care - songs from 1940's-1990's popular.
They hope volunteers will enjoy enabling older people to live an active and social life. They will have the opportunity to engage with older people and develop new friendships with members and other volunteers.
