Dunedin Environment Centre Trust provides a venue for environmental education; provide a venue for discussion of environmental issues; lead conservation and environmental projects and advocate for the environment. Its objective is to educate and provide networking services for the Dunedin community so as to improve adoption rates for sound environmental practices.
Description
General introduction around gardens and conservation work.
You could be getting up to these activities: Planting veggies, weeding, planting vegetables and herbs, preparing and sowing seeds, tending to seedlings, plant propagating, maintaining seed collections.
Requirements
Willing to get hands dirty
Ability to work manually
Respectful and with friendly manner to others
Volunteer must respect our Kaupapa, neighbours & other workers on the site whether paid or not.
Must respect tools and work in a safe manner.
Dress Code: Safe footwear appropriate for tasks being undertaken and clothes suitable to be made dirty
Time commitment
Negotiable to suit volunteer – the garden’s always there!
