Newsletter Distribution Helpers - South Dunedin Community Network
Organisation
South Dunedin Community Network
Purpose
The South Dunedin Community Network connects people across the wider South Dunedin area to strengthen communities and help people use their voice to create a vibrant, resilient community and a safe future together.
Description
The Lowdown Community Newsletter is published four to six times a year and features local stories, upcoming community events and news from DCC connecting the locals with support organisations, businesses, clubs and groups that service the community.
South Dunedin Community Network are looking for volunteers to help deliver these to South Dunedin residences on "The Flat".
The role consists of distributing the newsletters to households' mailboxes on designated streets.
Current volunteers enjoy the excuse to put on their headphones and get active, often meeting the neighbours while doing the rounds. Many of our deliverers partake in the activity with their kids, sharing quality family time away from devices.
Requirements
Volunteers are required to complete their delivery within a week of receiving their bundles, but can opt out at any time.
Time commitment
1-2 hours. You can choose how many copies you would like to deliver. Generally between 200 and 400
